“Look upon the word as you would on a bubble…All things are impermanent.  The one who perceives this fact ceases to be miserable.”  (Dhammapada 13:4 and 20:5) So much of life is about impermanence and the sense of loss we live with in so many ways throughout our lives.  Loss means grieving. Grief seeks comfort.  The biblical affirmation so eloquently sung in the prophet Isaiah’s words in Handel’s Messiah is that comfort is promised.  Vicky’s sermon will explore the themes of impermanence and loss and comfort.
