In Haitian Spiritual traditions, the Crossroads is the point at which the human plane meets the plane of the divine.  Several of my drummers will join me to play and sing traditional Haitian ceremonial music.  I’ll explain the meaning of the songs we’ll sing in Creole, and Roberta Kirn will lead the congregation in song.  I’ll share thoughts about my use of ensemble drumming as therapy and for the building of community. I‘ll reflect on my recent experiences drumming with children and adults in a variety of situations in Israel, Zambia and Haiti.
