“The Tale of Goldilocks and the Bylaws: Too Big, Too Small, or Just Right?” with Rev. Janet Newton
The Tale of Goldilocks and the Bylaws: Too Big, Too Small, or Just Right?
Throughout history we find stories that highlight the importance of moderation. Wisdom seekers — from the Ancient Greeks to 19th century Jewish theologians to English storytellers and their porridge-eating bears — described the importance of seeking equilibrium and moderation in the service of a well-lived life. How might moderation fit into our conversations about Article II and its proposed shift from Principles to Values? Is there anything to be gained by looking at those values as philoshophical and theological tools for personal growth?
